Words of Appreciation - Backed by Your Netting, We Can Pursue Our Studies Without Worry

Management College Undergraduate Class of 2019 - Huang

I grew up in a single-parent household with my older brother. From a young age, my mother worked hard to ensure that my brother and I never had to worry about money, often leaving early and returning late at night. Even after I started university and took out a student loan to cover tuition, my mother continued working to ensure I wouldn’t have to work part-time to cover living expenses, allowing me to focus entirely on my studies.

Her sacrifices have allowed me to sit in classrooms without the burden of part-time work, without exhaustion, and with the time to bond with my classmates. I’m deeply aware that my academic success is thanks to my mother’s hard work.

I have consistently maintained an average grade of over 85 and perfect attendance. Beyond academics, I’ve also been active in extracurricular activities, serving as the vice president of the Judo Club and representing the university in competitions. I must seize every opportunity to learn not to disappoint my mother’s expectations.

Finally, I would like to thank the Taiwan Financial Services Association for the Financial Services Scholarship, which has lightened my mother’s financial load and allowed me to focus more on my studies. Thank you!
