I sincerely thank the "Mr. Ying Yun-gang Memorial Foundation" for the scholarship that helped my family through difficult times. Our family relies on a roadside stall for income, making our financial situation very unstable, and the COVID-19 pandemic only worsened things. My father’s health went from experiencing a thyroid storm to being diagnosed with oral cancer, and both his health and financial situation continued to decline. With unstable income and high medical expenses, the entire burden fell on my mother. During that time, I took a five-hour bus ride back to the mountains every week, worried my mother would be too exhausted handling everything alone.

At school, I was constantly worried. Even though I didn’t earn much from part-time work, I saved every penny to bring home. During my three years at university, what touched me the most was being able to apply for scholarships through my hard work, which helped alleviate my worries about having enough food and allowed me to focus on my studies. This scholarship was a timely help that made me feel the warmth of humanity.

Even though I have never met the donors, their support is significant. The "Mr. Ying Yun-gang Memorial Foundation" has made me feel deeply grateful, and I am determined to become someone who contributes to society. When I have the means, I will help more needy people. Finally, I would like to thank the foundation again for their help.
