Words of Appreciation - Backed by Your Netting, We Can Pursue Our Studies Without Worry
College of Management Class of 2020 - Lin
I am deeply thankful to the donors of the Infinite Peace of Mind for Education Program, which has provided me with warmth and support during difficult times, allowing me to focus on my studies. After my mother suddenly lost her job, our family lacked a stable income. My brother and I were still in school, and the additional pressure of family debts became overwhelming. Although I worked part-time to cover living expenses, my capacity was limited, and the sudden economic burden left us feeling lost.
After entering university, I worked hard to help support my family while never neglecting my academic pursuits to realize my dreams. I maintained a GPA of 3.87 (with an average score of 87 from my first to third year), improved my language skills (scoring 870 on the TOEIC), and participated in competitions (achieving second place in both the Far East Bank × Yuan Ze University King of Digital Creativity Campus Competition and Yuan Ze University's Leadership Camp Social Innovation Proposal Competition). I hoped my outstanding performance would help me secure an exchange student opportunity to broaden my horizons and experience different cultures, enhancing my competitiveness.
My dream came true this year—I am an exchange student at the Rennes School of Business in France. I hope to continue achieving great things, improve my family’s financial situation, and, in the future, help others in need as well.
